But Obama thinks that 80% is not enough. SO- it MUST be changed to a system both parties can't fathom!

Well, on that math...I think a change is in order. For our President! His approval keeps dropping. Since Feb it went down from 68 to 51 %.

A little prediction...

I truly believe that Obama is trying to sway New York's D-Gov Paterson from campaigning again in 2010 so that Hillary Clinton can take the seat. Obama's involvement in persuading Paterson could be used as a deal between Obama and Clinton to thwart any ill defamation from an unhappy Clinton once she leaves her current post.

1) Obama would be thrilled to be rid of Hillary. Didn't want her as VP, definitely doesn't want her still.
2) Clinton wants control and misses it.
3) Clinton still has a viable chance of Presidency in the future and wants out of a failing presidential term and any association with Obama could prevent a successful campaign in 3 years.

Organizing the plot was 24 year old Afghan national, Najibullah Zazi, a coffee cart street vendor residing in Queens. Zazi and his cohorts had computers, cellphone and nine identical backpacks found during the arrests.

The FBI was tipped off to Zazi after his frequent visits to Pakistan and his inaccurate finance records. Despite the recorded documents and evidence in the FBI's possession, they hope to convert him into a cooperative witness detailing his bomb making connections in Pakistan.

Ahmadinejad Denies Holocaust...AGAIN

Oh what a wonderful thing Ramadan is! I love how Obama, his White House and even Sacramento's politicians have embraced the Muslim and Arab communities including known terrorist supporters in CAIR- wishing them well in all their endeavors during Ramadan.

In Obama's August address to the Ramadan celebrators during "their festive season, of intense devotion and reflection" he was reminded of how Islam is committed and even exemplary in "advancing justice, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings." "[Ramadan] is a time to reflect upon the wisdom and guidance that comes with faith. [They have a] responsibility to human beings, to one another and god."

Ramadan ended with its popular, annual International al-Quds Day. Since 1979, Muslim and Arabs (especial in Iran) demonstrate their opposition to all things Israel while declaring support for Palestine.

"President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who the opposition [protesters] contends won re-election by fraud, delivered a nationally televised address, railing against Israel and the West.

"Speaking before a crowd of supporters at Tehran University, he questioned whether the Holocaust was a "real event" and called it a pretext for the creation of Israel. He said the Jewish state was founded on "a lie and a mythical claim." -Huffington

But apparently the hundreds of thousands of angry protestors outside were channelling Joe Wilson, as they shouted "liar! liar!" Race motivated maybe? hmm.

They of course took it further than even us right-wing nuts and Wilson would ever wish towards our own leaders and declared, "Death to the dictator!"

"Just hundreds of yards away, crowds of Ahmadinejad supporters marched carrying huge photographs of the president and supreme leader Khamenei. Some chanted, "Death to those who oppose the supreme leader!"

Reporters covering the holiday, had great restrictions imposed on them by the government! Shocking. As they watched the demonstrations, their Internet access and phones were frequently blocked, and they were outright refused permission to cover any protesters.

The crowds seam to be having the same issues we Americans are facing. The government will punish you for protesting! Don't speak up here- we will create new laws to stop you! Don't call the president a liar!

National emergency you say? No Internet for you! Restrictions from government in this era of responsibility?? no no. This is freedom and security for you my pretty. In Iran, the witnesses who did speak up maintained anonymity in fear of the government's retaliation as well.

Despite all the protests, Ahmadinejad hailed the commemoration as a "day of unity" for Iranians and denounced criticism of the election.

Remember Obama's similar thoughts? "[Ramadan] reminds me of what we hold in common... Advancing justice, progress and tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings."

But all good months must come to an end. Even Mr. Gibbs said Obama reacted to the news stating that "denying the Holocaust is baseless, ignorant and hateful". "Promoting those vicious lies serves only to isolate Iran further from the world."

Truth be told - I am surprised he even touched this with a ten foot pole. But what happened to the state dinners? Do we not have a celebration for the end of Ramadan? Its not like we haven't heard these comments from Ahmadinejad before! In 2006, Ahmadinejad believed that he was being persecuted for simply "asking questions" about how many Jews were killed in relation to the grand total of deaths in the war.

As it is well past 2 am here, I am off to bed to advance the common goal in my home of peace from all its rested inhabitants. ...Maybe that is what Ahmadinejad needs. A good bed time story.

Marines killed by insurgents after Commanders rejected to send aid

New rules preventing civilian casualties resulted in more US military deaths.

"NATO-led forces are investigating the death of four Marines in eastern Afghanistan after their commanders reportedly rejected requests for artillery fire in a battle with insurgents, the Pentagon said on Wednesday. Tuesday's incident was "under investigation" and details remained unclear, press secretary Geoff Morrell told a news conference. A McClatchy newspapers' journalist who witnessed the battle reported that a team of Marine trainers made repeated appeals for air and artillery support after being pinned down by insurgents in the village of Ganjgal in eastern Kunar province. The U.S. troops had to wait more than an hour for attack helicopters to come to their aid and their appeal for artillery fire was rejected, with commanders citing new rules designed to avoid civilian casualties, the report said."

Our Prez and Gen McChrystal are more worried about random civilians walking around in the middle of the mountains, surrounded by angry insurgents with guns and rockets- than they are about providing support and protecting American lives who in essence are protecting OUR lives. I cannot begin to describe how painful this news is to hear. My husband is getting ready to join as an MC Officer. Its infuriating to think that despite all the training, all the weapons, preparation and even all the men who would fight by his side, it wouldn't matter. Because our own military leaders and Obama could care less if they come home alive or in a box.

THIS is how you loose a war. When you liberals keep your head up your own ass. The only news you want to hear about is what is going on on Project Runway, and what former porn star got knocked up or what Michelle Obama is wearing now. Wake up, before it is too late. Joe Wilson labeled racist by D-Johnson

Rep. Hank Johnson of Georgia declared that Joe Wilson's comments show that his true colors, as a racist conservative, appeasing the right-wing extremists who have disrespected Obama by portraying him with a Hitler mustache or as an African witch doctor! "It only happened when this country elected a president of color!"

"He [Wilson] did not help the cause of diversity and tolerance with his remarks," Johnson said. "If I were a betting man, I would say that it instigated more racist sentiment feelings."

Johnson demanded that by not rebuking Wilson for his remarks will increase racism in the health care debate, "You can bring it out and talk about it fully, and so I guess we will probably have folks putting on white hoods and white uniforms again riding through the countryside intimidating people."

Acorn is up to their lovely schemes again. Besides stuffing the ballot boxes, registering fake voters at least thousands of times, covered up embezzlement, and taken tax payer's money for partisan political activities, Acorn has now achieved new lows.

Two people identified as a pimp and prostitute went to the Baltimore Acorn office seeking assistance on how to properly evade taxes on their business while accounting for 13 underage El Salvadoran sex slaves that will be living in their home.

The Acorn workers response? No problem. Hmm, lets just call you a "performing artist."

And as for Acorn's response? Despite firing the women involved, Board Chairman Sonja Merchant-Jones stated, "We've investigated and we found nothing that they did to be illegal. Absolutely zero." Okay. So trafficking girls under 16 illegally to become a sex slave is good enough to put on your resume?

"Taxpayers should be outraged that their money has gone to an organization that, in addition to facing charges of voter fraud and tax violations, is willing to facilitate prostitution," said Rep. Steve King R-Iowa.

"Because the group receives millions of dollars in federal grants, Napolitano said, "ACORN agents and employees are required by law to adhere to high standards of lawful and ethical behavior; standards akin to those required by law of federal employees."

CNN is going after GW Bush, just like they did with Palin in Alaska. So let the investigation begin. But heed this, you libs won't like what you hear.

Today CNN reported that George Bush could go to jail for his post 9/11 activities regarding terrorists. Although they wish it would be true, they still acknowledge that Obama doesn't want to look back but forward to the America that is full of "hope" and "change." But despite these comments, Obama and his friends at the ACLU are climbing over the corpses of CIA agents towards the goal of reaching our former leader and other "high levels in the government."

So drum-roll please... Did the CIA break the law? Like an entertaining MMA event, a CIA agent has been said to have choked a prisoner until he lost consciousness, (Yes MMA is quite different than interrogations, but like MMA- both sides knew what they were getting into before they began their activities) He also threatened another with his gun and drill.

I forget what weapons the 9/11 terrorists used on the innocent people on American and United Airlines. hmm... I also forget what military officials regularly found during their raids in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Oh wait. Its coming to me... meat cleavers, whips, wire cutters, blow torches, hammers, handcufs, electric drills, scissors, saws, eye-gouging devices. Also, drawings of torture methods were found. (for eye removal, limb removal, vehicle dragging, blowtorching skin, hanging from ceilings to electrocute,)

In one specific instance during 2007, all of these items were found near the torture chamber a few feet away which contained a man hanging from the ceiling wrapped in chains. Other raids found small boys and older men who had been beaten daily with whatever could be whipped at them- steel chains, wires, cables and hoses.

THIS is torture. THIS is inhumane. THIS is whom we are trying to stop.

There is a distinct difference between threatening terrorists with methods that they created and used, and actually harming or killing them. In 2007, the US had thwarted 19 terrorist attacks. This is not a mere coincidence or good luck.

School tells parents to butt out of their kid's education, and bow down to Obama's will.

Obama just cannot stop campaigning for your vote. Immediately after he was inaugurated as our 44th president, Obama founded Organizing for America. In case you are unaware, the OFA is made up of community organizers who worked for the DNC during the Presidential election and were instrumental in Obama's success. What do they do now? Well...

Addressing the OFA, Obama stated, "As President, I will need the help of all Americans to meet the challenges that lie ahead. That's why I'm asking people like you who fought for change during the campaign to continue fighting for change in your communities.

"Volunteers, grass roots leaders and ordinary citizens will continue to drive our organization, helping us bring about the changes we proposed during the campaign: a solution to our economic crisis, an end to the war in Iraq, affordable healthcare for all and new sources of energy to power our economy and protect our environment."

Now, numerous aspects of this OFA bug me.

Obama claimed that he would reach across both sides of the aisle. But here he is, establishing a group of liberal democrats to do what exactly? Well, reach across the aisle, grab all that are weak, bind up their hands and gag their mouths, only releasing them when they numbly pledge allegiance to Obama and his ways. (Have you seen Ashton Kutcher's I Pledge video? )
OFA turned 9/11 remembrance into health care reform organizing day. On their website, they whip up their followers to stand up, be patriotic and fight for what is right. But two seconds later lay hate on conservatives who are "whipped up".
OFA said that Republicans are "Right-wing domestic terrorists" and "racist".
OFA called FOXNEWS a propaganda network. See quote below.
OFA is supposed to be filled with "volunteers, grass roots leaders and ordinary citizens" who are FUNDED by liberals and Obama supporters. Yet throughout the summer in town hall meetings, democrats including the OFA have characterized anti-healthcare protesters as "manufactured mob" agents and a "bunch of crazies." Barbara Boxer thought these protesters were too well dressed, too organized, had to be paid, and their agenda was to "hurt President Obama." She even cites that its all outlined on their hateful website. Ms Boxer- have you seen the OFA website?

OFA stated: “All 50 states are coordinating in this – as we fight back against our own right-wing domestic terrorists who are subverting the American democratic process, whipped into a frenzy by their Fox propaganda network.” www.mybarackobama.com (See picture of page that was taken down later by site.)

Now Obama is responsible for what the OFA does! He founded it! He is their leader! They elected him! And clearly, Obama doesn't believe that the election is over. So with his troops behind him, Obama heads to the campaign trails to recruit your children. Now consider that they are already Sesame-Street Census takers that will be little informants on your family. They are also as Ms Malkin would say, "guinea pigs" for gay marriage and anti-war activists, and now they are tiny little foot soldiers for Obama's health care reform.

Obama's speech will be presented to schools all across the nation- LIVE. Teachers stand ready to present children with kits of action plans that will address what your kid can "do to help President Obama." Yet most parents have not been informed about the speech in any shape, including what the week's scheduled lesson plans will involve.

In fact, some schools have altogether rejected having alternative activities available to students opting out of the speech. As Michelle Malkin pointed out, "Broward County FL school district site,[informed] parents that they cannot opt their kids out of the president’s speech on Tuesday because the administrators are committed to “encouraging civics education in the broadest sense.”

So, get ready you right-wing, nazi, racist, homophobic, nut job parents! Your kids are not old enough to vote, but they sure are old enough to be indoctrinated by Obama and his whipped up organizers.

At the least, start preparing your kids in the way they should go. Because if you don't- someone else will.

35 California Lawmakers gathered in the Sacramento capitol building on September 1st, for the Iftar dinner for the Muslim celebration of Ramadan with (CAIR) Council on American-Islamic Relations, a known Hamas-front that supports and funds terrorism. This will be the 6th annual event held in Sacramento despite incriminating CAIR activities.

Known CAIR activities include:

CAIR is a Hamas front in the US, and part of the Palestine Committe which supports Hamas financially and politically.

FBI's found evidence of $12 million dollar illegal funneled from CAIR to Palestinian terrorist groups.

Philadelphia- 1993, Hamas members and supporters led efforts to derail all US efforts for peace between Isreal and Palestine fearing that Fatah's gaining power would be opposed. During this meeting, they discussed creating CAIR to advance their causes.

Numerous former members have been deported or sentenced on terrorist charges including, R. Haddad, R, Royer.

CAIR has increased tensions all over the United States in muslim communities while angered at FBI's counter-terrorism efforts against bombing, and other jihad actions.

CAIR informants connected to protecting Osama bin Laden and have violated immigration laws, and support attacks of bombing Southern California.

2007- Sen. Barbara Boxer rescinded award given to CAIR after learning of connections. "We made a bad mistake not researching the organization. If individuals are doing great work, I commend them personally, but not in the context of the organization."
2008- CAIR denies that Hamas is a terrorist organization.

On the other side of the country, Obama commended Muslims on behalf of all Americans while welcoming Muslim Community leaders to the White House in celebration of Iftar. Stating that not only is it “a great religion [with] its commitment to justice and progress.” but that Islam is “part of America.”

UN Treaty Jeopardizes Homeschool Freedom in Britain

American home schoolers could be forced to join public school soon in lieu of recent acts to make homeschooling illegal in Britain.

Obama has been a long standing proponent of the UNCRC, which recently has been cited in the attempt to justify eliminating Britain's homeschooling freedoms. Could Obama now want the same UNCRC to support him acting as our CZAR while indoctrinating American Homeschool families to his propaganda ? Considering Obama's attempts to control your freedom of speech, your internet, your radio, your bank account, your clunkin' car, your home, your energy bills, your gas, your nation's security, your guns, and (fill in the blank)_____________... I do strongly believe that this is on his list of "change."

Lets also not forget Obama and his Administration using your children as census takers, while their schools enforce gay marriage and anti-war activism while watching Hollywood's "I Pledge" videos. And don't forget to watch his looming ~~attempt to indoctrinate,~~ i mean- speech to school children on Sept 8 via YouTube and the White House website.

Last week the Children’s Secretary of Britain accepted a report in full by Graham Badman which argues for an end to homeschool freedom. “While it’s disgraceful that the British government would even entertain this report it’s particularly troubling for American parents because the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) was used as the justification for this action,” said Michael Farris, Chairman of HSLDA and President of ParentalRights.org.
The Badman report uses Articles 12 and 29 of the UNCRC to justify registering the estimated 80,000 homeschooling families in Britain, forcing them to provide annual reports regarding their homeschool, granting government officials the right to enter the home and interview the children alone as well as (chooses) curriculum to the state.
HSLDA has been warning that the UNCRC could bring an end to homeschool freedom in the U.S., if the treaty was ever ratified by the U.S. Senate because Article VI of the U.S. Constitution says that treaties become the supreme law of the land.

Cheney: Obama should debrief not punish CIA

Former Vice President Dick Cheney said Friday the Obama administration should be debriefing CIA interrogators about keeping the country safe rather than trying to punish them for doing their jobs.

Organizers leech health care reform on dead Americans's memories, all from their sofas and phones

Ted Kennedy was barely dead but a few hours before they claimed victory for health care reform in his name. Now they are mobbing 9/11 victims as well.

Did they personally go ask all the 9/11 victims’ families what they thought of the bill? And if so, do their opinions mean more than mine or yours?

Apparently yes, because in honor of Kennedy and the Patriots of 9/11, they have encouraged America to fight the “healthy+wealthy, unamerican, anti-democratic forces of hate” aka all us paid nazis who terrorize with loaded questions at hometown meetings, who also happen to disagree the health care reform while listening to the "propoganda network" on Fox.

What is wrong with these people? Is there any respect for the dead?

Covert CIA agents hunted down by ACLU and photographs are shown to 9/11 attackers

US Justice Department is investigating ACLU's lawyers who hunted down covert CIA agents and took pictures of them at their personal homes. THEN- handed the pictures over to terrorists charged and detained from the 9/11 attacks!

The Justice Department is investigating a group of lawyers working for the American Civil Liberties Union (AACLU) for taking pictures of covert CIA agents at Guantanamo Bay and handing them over to known al Qaida operatives. The lawyers, representing several detainees charged with organizing the September 11, 2001, attacks, have been accused of participating in an elaborate scheme to “out” as many as forty covert CIA agents, by tracking them to their homes and photographing them.
The ACLU lawyers are accused of conspiring in what is being called the "John Adams Project," along with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), and using lists and data from "human rights groups," European researchers and news organizations that were involved in tracking international CIA-chartered flights and monitoring hotel phone records. The John Adams Project allegedly developed a list of 45 CIA employees, which the ACLU team tailed and photographed surreptitiously; often as they were leaving their homes.

Peter Finn, writing in The Washington Post, contacted the ACLU and got this response: "We are confident that no laws or regulations have been broken as we investigated the circumstances of the torture of our clients and as we have vigorously defended our clients' interests," said Anthony D. Romero, the group's executive director. "Rather than investigate the CIA officials who undertook the torture, they are now investigating the military lawyers who have courageously stepped up to defend these clients in these sham proceedings."
Finn further reports that The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers declined to address the specifics of the inquiry but “questioned its timing.” He quotes Joshua L. Dratel, counsel for the John Adams Project and a former board member of the NACDL, as saying: "The lawyers have a duty to find out what happened to their clients, and to the extent that the government and certain agencies are resistant to that to protect themselves and to insulate themselves from accountability, there is a tension there, and to the extent that this investigation is part of that tension, it's most unfortunate. But the lawyers will not shirk their duty."

Quoting unnamed sources, Finn adds: “Tracking international CIA-chartered flights, researchers have identified hotels in Europe where CIA personnel or contractors stayed. In some cases, through hotel phone records, they have been able to identify agency employees who jeopardized their cover by dialing numbers in the United States. Working from these lists, some of which include up to 45 names, researchers photographed agency workers and obtained other photos from public records, the sources said.”
What’s that you say? You haven’t read this story of treason in the mainstream media, or seen it reported on the evening news? We find this unusual, since it was almost exactly six years ago that the MSM went absolutely apoplectic over the imagined “crime” of Karl Rove revealing to Robert Novak that Joseph Wilson’s wife, Valerie Plame, was an employee of the CIA. This was such an egregious violation of the official secrecy laws that the MSM (a/k/a the liberal press) demanded the appointment of a special prosecutor.

Leftie David Korn, over at The Nation, quoted former ambassador Wilson as wanting to “…see whether or not we can get Karl Rove frog-marched out of the White House in handcuffs." Problem was, of course, that dear Valerie was not a covert agent of the CIA (she worked in an office), and the guy who spilled the beans to Novak was Richard Armitage, assistant to Secretary of State Colin Powell.
Facts to the contrary notwithstanding, the left and the MSM beat this dead horse for months; lamenting for the endangered safety of our brave CIA agents, and condemning the Bush administration for being too lax on secrecy.
Now, of course, the shoe is on the other foot, a different ox is being gored, the horse is of a different color, and the metaphors are mixed beyond all recognition. Don’t expect the liberal press to criticize the sainted ACLU lawyers. “Treason doth never prosper, and here’s the reason: For if it prosper, none dare call it treason.”

Anyone tempted to ignore the 2010 Census will have a tough time doing it — especially if they have kids in school.

The government has launched Census in Schools, an all-out campaign targeting superintendents, principals, teachers, students and, indirectly, parents, as schools open across the nation this month and next. The message: The Census is coming and here's why everyone should care.

The goal is to send posters, teaching guides, maps and lesson plans to every school in the nation, Puerto Rico and U.S. island territories to encourage everyone to participate in the national count. The materials will land in more than 118,000 schools and reach 56 million students.

"It's great to reach the children because children are such strong voices in their homes," says Renee Jefferson-Copeland, chief of the Census schools program. "In households that are linguistically isolated, they can express the information to their parents."

The school effort is more ambitious than in 2000, the last time the government set out to count everyone. At that time, teachers had to request the material and it was available only in print. Now, the kits and lessons will arrive in every school and lesson plans can be downloaded online, where they will be available in 28 languages.

The Constitution mandates a complete population count every 10 years. The tally — down to the city block — helps redraw political boundaries and determine states' representation in Congress and the distribution of more than $400 billion in federal funds to state and local governments every year.

"It's extremely important for us," says Michael McGrady, associate director for partnership development at the National Head Start Association, which promotes school readiness for low-income children and their families. "Historically, Head Start families have been undercounted and that has a negative effect on their communities."

Between January and March, the Census Bureau will help plan a week of Census education in schools. During Census Week, teachers will devote 15 minutes every day for five days to the topic by discussing such things as civic participation, confidentiality or geography. Beginning in mid-March, more than 120 million Census questionnaires will be delivered to residential addresses.

The Census Bureau is partnering with Seseame Street to extend the 2010 Census message to preschoolers and adult caregivers. Under consideration: Using Sesame Street characters on Census materials and having characters participate in school events and public service announcements.

Although cybersecurity IS indeed vital to our national security from homegrown and external ~~"terrorists"~~ (oops, I mean man made enemy combatants) I question- how much control and when-where-how and more importantly WHY? We simply do not know the extent of their "security measures" as these items are not even defined in the bill.

I seem to recall China's controversial efforts highlighted during the 2008 Olympics to neutralize outside news and opinions from filtering into their private sector aka "The Great Firewall of China". Now, I don't know if Obama and Rockfeller realize that here in America we have a Constitution? Not to forget the Freedom of Information Act which defines our ability to freedom of speech, guarantees privacy and exterminates censorship. It is up to the people of this country to secure oneself, not a select few who determine when they deem it appropriate.

The pork has been federally approved. All 1000 pages read in less than 12 hours of review. Earmarked for Democratic Pet Projects which benefits the poor, the federal employees and not me. Personally I am still wondering what I am getting from this, other than a huge debt. I mean- thank God I haven't lost my job yet but unfortunately I am not getting a big check because I have popped out 14 kids all on welfare and medical or don't even make enough to PAY my taxes. Thats right- I have been WORKING to better myself and be a productive American Citizen- all while using birth control. (By the way- Ms.Pelosi - I bought it myself!) It also sucks for me that I am done with college, and didn't buy another new home thats also fitted with "green" air conditioning units and windmills. I am also not one of the lucky banks or Wall Street Companies that personally gets bailed out by my "public servant" buddies in government.

Its interesting that all the money invested in the Bank Bailout could of actually paid off every single American's mortgage. And the billions of dollars spent on a $30,000 job is going to cost over $200,000 each. I mean- where is the bailout for the everyday employers- people that actually GENERATE jobs- so that I can keep mine?

But I guess I should just be happy that I am gonna get my 7 dollar credit each week. Maybe I will just go buy my dinner at Mcdonald's. The poor keep telling me its cheaper than making dinner at home.

Stimulus bill just pork in new disguise By Bob Barr

The venerable Oxford English Dictionary defines “stimulus” as “something that promotes activity, interest, or enthusiasm.” If, as appears almost certain, the federal government enacts legislation appropriating more than $800 billion in a so-called “stimulus package,” the next edition of Oxford might properly include further definitions for the already-overused term: “any massive federal spending program designed to funnel taxpayer monies into pet political projects; a term employed to disguise massive federal spending programs designed to funnel taxpayer monies into pet political projects, but labeled ‘stimulus’ in order to secure votes necessary for passage.”

Of course, as is par for the course in proposing and enacting modern federal legislation, congressional leaders have attached a high-sounding and misleading moniker to this latest and largest ever so-called “stimulus package.”

The legislation, which passed the House last week and the “senior” chamber Tuesday, is entitled “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.”

How clever be these members of Congress. They know you can never go wrong by including the word, “American” or “America,” in the title of any legislation, since there is then always the implication that anyone who votes against the bill is, of course, un-American.

But the true evil of this spending boondoggle is not so much its title as its substance. Virtually every pet project and constituency of the Democratic Party will be at the receiving end of the billions of dollars rushing down this latest federal money sluice. The disaster that is this “recovery and reinvestment act” is made far worse by the fact that every single one of its more than $800 billion bills is borrowed.

When all is said and done according to the government’s own estimate, this spending measure will add more than a trillion dollars to our national debt which already tops $10.2 trillion.

Moreover, this appropriations vehicle comes on top of last year’s “Emergency Economic Stabilization Act” —- the so-called “bailout” —- and the now small, $152 billion 2008 “Economic Stimulus Act.” Thus does the true magnitude of the damage to the value of our currency and to the future economic health of our nation start to come into focus.

State and local government officials, including our own here in the Peach State, are already gleefully counting the billions they are slated to receive from Washington’s “reinvestment” largess. These are the same spendthrift state and local governments that have failed for decades to keep their own spending under control.

Throwing even more federal money their way simply rewards their irresponsibility, and further disguises the necessity for state and local governments to rein in their own spending. Some of the details of the “reinvestments” in the House’s version of the stimulus package are truly amazing. For example:

> A billion dollars will continue to subsidize the perennial money loser, Amtrak; $20 billion expands the already bloated food stamp program.

> About $2 billion is diverted from the wallets of hard-working Americans to subsidize childcare. Some $2.8 billion is slipped to global warming advocacy programs.

> $600 million will buy more and newer cars for government bureaucrats, along with $44 million to refurbish the Department of Agriculture, $50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts, and $150 million to spruce up the Smithsonian buildings.

> Another $650 million is earmarked for helping consumers convert analog TVs to digital (because the government earlier decided to halt analog television broadcasting).

>More than $400 million promotes anti-smoking programs and programs to fight sexually transmitted diseases. Those are just the tip of the fiscal iceberg.

There are minor differences in the House and Senate versions, but overall the amount of money spent and the amount of pork in each is outrageous and harmful; and besides, the House-Senate conference may very well add back in what the Senate took out but really just shifted around, in a typical example of congressional legerdemain.

When all the dust settles, the only thing this fiscal monstrosity will “stimulate” is making American citizens, businesses and state and local government even more dependent on Uncle Sam than before; even as we and our children and grandchildren are rendered the poorer.

An examination of how the economic stimulus plan will affect Americans (AP)

The recovery package has tax breaks for families that send a child to college, purchase a new car, buy a first home or make the ones they own more energy efficient.

Millions of workers can expect to see about $13 extra in their weekly paychecks, starting around June, from a new $400 tax credit to be doled out through the rest of the year. Couples would get up to $800. In 2010, the credit would be about $7.70 a week, if it is spread over the entire year.

The $1,000 child tax credit would be extended to more low-income families that don't make enough money to pay income taxes, and poor families with three or more children will get an expanded Earned Income Tax Credit. Middle-income and wealthy taxpayers will be spared from paying the Alternative Minimum Tax, which was designed 40 years ago to make sure wealthy taxpayers pay at least some tax, but was never indexed for inflation. Congress fixes it each year, usually in the fall.

First-time homebuyers who purchase their homes before Dec. 1 would be eligible for an $8,000 tax credit, and people who buy new cars before the end of the year can write off the sales taxes.

Homeowners who add energy-efficient windows, furnaces and air conditioners can get a tax credit to cover 30 percent of the costs, up to a total of $1,500. College students -- or their parents -- are eligible for tax credits of up to $2,500 to help pay tuition and related expenses in 2009 and 2010. Those receiving unemployment benefits this year wouldn't pay any federal income taxes on the first $2,400 they receive.

Health insurance:

Many workers who lose their health insurance when they lose their jobs will find it cheaper to keep that coverage while they look for work.

Right now, most people working for medium and large employers can continue their coverage for 18 months under the COBRA program when they lose their job. It's expensive, often over $1,000 a month, because they pay the share of premiums once covered by their employer as well as their own share from the old group plan.

Under the stimulus package, the government will pick up 65 percent of the total cost of that premium for the first nine months. Lawmakers initially proposed to help workers from small companies, too, who don't generally qualify for COBRA coverage. But that fell through. The idea was to have Washington pay to extend Medicaid to them. COBRA applies to group plans at companies employing at least 20 people. The subsidies will be offered to those who lost their jobs from Sept. 1 to the end of this year.

Those who were put out of work after September but didn't elect to have COBRA coverage at the time will have 60 days to sign up. The plan offers $87 billion to help states administer Medicaid. That could slow or reverse some of the steps states have taken to cut the program.

Infrastructure:

Highways repaved for the first time in decades. Century-old waterlines dug up and replaced with new pipes. Aging bridges, stressed under the weight of today's SUVs, reinforced with fresh steel and concrete. But the $90 billion is a mere down payment on what's needed to repair and improve the country's physical backbone. And not all economists agree it's an effective way to add jobs in the long term, or stimulate the economy.

Energy:

Homeowners looking to save energy, makers of solar panels and wind turbines and companies hoping to bring the electric grid into the computer age all stand to reap major benefits. The package contains more than $42 billion in energy-related investments from tax credits to homeowners to loan guarantees for renewable energy projects and direct government grants for makers of wind turbines and next-generation batteries.

There's a 30 percent tax credit of up to $1,500 for the purchase of a highly efficient residential air conditioners, heat pumps or furnaces. The credit also can be used by homeowners to replace leaky windows or put more insulation into the attic. About $300 million would go for rebates to get people to buy efficient appliances.

The package includes $20 billion aimed at "green" jobs to make wind turbines, solar panels and improve energy efficiency in schools and federal buildings. It includes $6 billion in loan guarantees for renewable energy projects as well as tax breaks or direct grants covering 30 percent of wind and solar energy investments. Another $5 billion is marked to help low-income homeowners make energy improvements.

About $11 billion goes to modernize and expand the nation's electric power grid and $2 billion to spur research into batteries for future electric cars.

Schools:

A main goal of education spending in the stimulus bill is to help keep teachers on the job. Nearly 600,000 jobs in elementary and secondary schools could be eliminated by state budget cuts over the next three years, according to a study released this past week by the University of Washington. Fewer teachers means higher class sizes, something that districts are scrambling to prevent.

The stimulus sets up a $54 billion fund to help prevent or restore state budget cuts, of which $39 billion must go toward kindergarten through 12th grade and higher education. In addition, about $8 billion of the fund could be used for other priorities, including modernization and renovation of schools and colleges, though how much is unclear, because Congress decided not to specify a dollar figure.

The Education Department will distribute the money as quickly as it can over the next couple of years. And it adds $25 billion extra to No Child Left Behind and special education programs, which help pay teacher salaries, among other things. This money may go out much more slowly; states have five years to spend the dollars, and they have a history of spending them slowly. In fact, states don't spend all the money; they return nearly $100 million to the federal treasury every year. The stimulus bill also includes more than $4 billion for the Head Start and Early Head Start early education programs and for child care programs.

National debt:

One thing about the president's $790 billion stimulus package is certain: It will jack up the federal debt.

Whether or not it succeeds in producing jobs and taming the recession, tomorrow's taxpayers will end up footing the bill. Forecasters expect the 2009 deficit -- for the budget year that began last Oct 1 -- to hit $1.6 trillion including new stimulus and bank-bailout spending. That's about three times last year's shortfall. The torrents of red ink are being fed by rising federal spending and falling tax revenues from hard-hit businesses and individuals.

The national debt -- the sum of all annual budget deficits -- stands at $10.7 trillion. Or about $36,000 for every man, woman and child in the U.S. Interest payments alone on the national debt will near $500 billion this year. It's already the fourth-largest federal expenditure, after Medicare-Medicaid, Social Security and defense. This will affect us all directly for years, as well as our children and possibly grandchildren, in higher taxes and probably reduced government services. It will also force continued government borrowing, increasingly from China, Japan, Britain, Saudi Arabia and other foreign creditors.

Environment:

The package includes $9.2 billion for environmental projects at the Interior Department and the Environmental Protection Agency. The money would be used to shutter abandoned mines on public lands, to help local governments protect drinking water supplies, and to erect energy-efficient visitor centers at wildlife refuges and national parks.

The Interior Department estimates that its portion of the work would generate about 100,000 jobs over the next two years. Yet the plan will only make a dent in the backlog of cleanups facing the EPA and the long list of chores at the country's national parks, refuges and other public lands. It would be more like a down payment. When it comes to national parks, the plan sets aside $735 million for road repairs and maintenance. But that's a fraction of the $9 billion worth of work waiting for funding. At EPA, the payout is $7.2 billion. The bulk of the money will help local communities and states repair and improve drinking water systems and fund projects that protect bays, rivers and other waterways used as sources of drinking water. The rest of EPA's cut -- $800 million -- will be used to clean up leaky gasoline storage tanks and the nation's hazardous waste sites.

Police:

The stimulus bill includes plenty of green for those wearing blue. The compromise bill doles out more than $3.7 billion for police programs, much of which is set aside for hiring new officers. The law allocates $2 billion for the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant, a program that has funded drug task forces and things such as prisoner rehabilitation and after-school programs. An additional $1 billion is set aside to hire local police under the Community Oriented Policing Services program. The program, known as COPS grants, paid the salaries of many local police officers and was a "modest contributor" to the decline in crime in the 1990s, according to a 2005 government oversight report.
Both programs had all been eliminated during the Bush administration.

The bill also includes $225 million for general criminal justice grants for things such as youth mentoring programs, $225 million for Indian tribe law enforcement, $125 million for police in rural areas, $100 million for victims of crimes, $50 million to fight Internet crimes against children and $40 million in grants for law enforcement along the Mexican border.

Higher Education:

The maximum Pell Grant, which helps the lowest-income students attend college, would increase from $4,731 currently to $5,350 starting July 1 and $5,550 in 2010-2011. That would cover three-quarters of the average cost of a four-year college. An extra 800,000 students, or about 7 million, would now get Pell funding. The stimulus also increases the tuition tax credit to $2,500 and makes it 40 percent refundable, so families who don't earn enough to pay income tax could still get up to $1,000 in extra tuition help. Computer expenses will now be an allowable expense for 529 college savings plans.

The final package cut $6 billion the House wanted to spend to kick-start building projects on college campuses. But parts of the $54 billion state stabilization fund -- with $39 billion set aside for education -- can be used for modernizing facilities. There's also an estimated $15 billion for scientific research, much of which will go to universities. Funding for the National Institutes of Health includes $1.5 billion set aside for university research facilities.

Altogether, the package spends an estimated $32 billion on higher education.

The Poor:

More than 37 million Americans live in poverty, and the vast majority of them are in line for extra help under the giant stimulus package. Millions more could be kept from slipping into poverty by the economic lifeline.

People who get food stamps -- 30 million and growing -- will get more. People drawing unemployment checks -- nearly 5 million and growing -- would get an extra $25, and keep those checks coming longer. People who get Supplemental Security Income -- 7 million poor Americans who are elderly, blind or disabled -- would get one-time extra payments of $250.

Many low-income Americans also are likely to benefit from a trifecta of tax credits: expansions to the existing Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit, and a new refundable tax credit for workers. Taken together, the three credits are expected to keep more than 2 million Americans from falling into poverty, including more than 800,000 children, according to the private Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

The package also includes a $3 billion emergency fund to provide temporary assistance to needy families. In addition, cash-strapped states will get an infusion of $87 billion for Medicaid, the government health program for poor people, and that should help them avoid cutting off benefits to the needy.

COCHISE COUNTY, AZ – An Arizona man who has waged a 10-year campaign to stop a flood of illegal immigrants from crossing his property is being sued by 16 Mexican nationals who accuse him of conspiring to violate their civil rights when he stopped them at gunpoint on his ranch on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Roger Barnett, 64, began rounding up illegal immigrants in 1998 and turning them over to

the U.S. Border Patrol, he said, after they destroyed his property, killed his calves and broke into his home.

His Cross Rail Ranch near Douglas, Ariz., is known by federal and county law enforcement authorities as “the avenue of choice” for immigrants seeking to enter the United States illegally.

Trial continues Monday in the federal lawsuit, which seeks $32 million in actual and punitive damages for civil rights violations, the infliction of emotional distress and other crimes. Also named are Mr. Barnett’s wife, Barbara, his brother, Donald, and Larry Dever, sheriff in Cochise County, Ariz., where the Barnetts live. The civil trial is expected to continue until Friday.

The lawsuit is based on a March 7, 2004, incident in a dry wash on the 22,000-acre ranch, when he approached a group of illegal immigrants while carrying a gun and accompanied by a large dog.
Attorneys for the immigrants – five women and 11 men who were trying to cross illegally into the United States – have accused Mr. Barnett of holding the group captive at gunpoint, threatening to turn his dog loose on them and saying he would shoot anyone who tried to escape.

The immigrants are represented at trial by the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), which also charged that

Sheriff Dever did nothing to prevent Mr. Barnett from holding their clients at “gunpoint, yelling obscenities at them and kicking one of the women.”

In the lawsuit, MALDEF said Mr. Barnett approached the group as the immigrants moved through his property, and that he was carrying a pistol and threatening them in English and Spanish. At one point, it said, Mr. Barnett’s dog barked at several of the women and he yelled at them in Spanish, “My dog is hungry and he’s hungry for buttocks.”

The lawsuit said he then called his wife and two Border Patrol agents arrived at the site. It also said Mr. Barnett acknowledged that he had turned over 12,000 illegal immigrants to the Border Patrol since 1998.

In March, U.S. District Judge John Roll rejected a motion by Mr. Barnett to have the charges dropped, ruling there was sufficient evidence to allow the matter to be presented to a jury. Mr. Barnett’s attorney, David Hardy, had argued that illegal immigrants did not have the same rights as U.S. citizens.

Mr. Barnett told The Washington Times in a 2002 interview that he began rounding up illegal immigrants after they started to vandalize his property, northeast of Douglas along Arizona Highway 80. He said the immigrants tore up water pumps, killed calves, destroyed fences and gates, stole trucks and broke into his home.

Some of his cattle died from ingesting the plastic bottles left behind by the immigrants, he said, adding that he installed a faucet on an 8,000-gallon water tank so the immigrants would stop damaging the tank to get water.

Mr. Barnett said some of the ranch´s established immigrant trails were littered with trash 10 inches deep, including human waste, used toilet paper, soiled diapers, cigarette packs, clothes, backpacks, empty 1-gallon water bottles, chewing-gum wrappers and aluminum foil – which supposedly is used to pack the drugs the immigrant smugglers give their “clients” to keep them running.

He said he carried a pistol during his searches for the immigrants and had a rifle in his truck “for protection” against immigrant and drug smugglers, who often are armed.

A former Cochise County sheriff´s deputy who later was successful in the towing and propane business, Mr. Barnett spent $30,000 on electronic sensors, which he has hidden along established trails on his ranch. He searches the ranch for illegal immigrants in a pickup truck, dressed in a green shirt and camouflage hat, with his handgun and rifle, high-powered binoculars and a walkie-talkie.

His sprawling ranch became an illegal-immigration highway when the Border Patrol diverted its attention to several border towns in an effort to take control of the established ports of entry. That effort moved the illegal immigrants to the remote areas of the border, including the Cross Rail Ranch.

“This is my land. I´m the victim here,” Mr. Barnett said. “When someone´s home and loved ones are in jeopardy and the government seemingly can´t do anything about it, I feel justified in taking matters into my own hands. And I always watch my back.”

Instead of stimulus, do nothing – seriously

Stimulus is unconstitutional. And history shows that the economy can recover strongly on its own, if politicians stay out of the way.

Oakland, Calif. - As we wait to see how the politicians in Washington will alter the stimulus package the Obama administration is pushing, many questions are being raised about the measure's contents and efficacy. Should it include money for the National Endowment for the Arts, Amtrak, and child care? Is it big enough to get the economy moving again? Does it spend money fast enough? Hardly anyone, however, is asking the most important question: Should the federal government be doing any of this?

In raising this question, one risks immediate dismissal as someone hopelessly out of touch with the modern realities of economics and government. Yet the United States managed to navigate the first century and a half of its past – a time of phenomenal growth – without any substantial federal intervention to moderate economic booms and busts. Indeed, when the government did intervene actively, under Herbert Hoover and Franklin D. Roosevelt, the result was the Great Depression.

Until the 1930s, the Constitution served as a major constraint on federal economic interventionism. The government's powers were understood to be just as the framers intended: few and explicitly enumerated in our founding document and its amendments. Search the Constitution as long as you like, and you will find no specific authority conveyed for the government to spend money on global-warming research, urban mass transit, food stamps, unemployment insurance, Medicaid, or countless other items in the stimulus package and, even without it, in the regular federal budget.

This Constitutional constraint still operated as late as the 1930s, when federal courts issued some 1,600 injunctions to restrain officials from carrying out acts of Congress, and the Supreme Court overturned the New Deal's centerpieces, the National Industrial Recovery Act and the Agricultural Adjustment Act, and other statutes. This judicial action outraged President Roosevelt, who fumed that "we have been relegated to the horse-and-buggy definition of interstate commerce." Early in 1937, he responded with his court-packing plan.

Although Roosevelt lost this battle, he soon won the war. As the older, more conservative justices retired, the president replaced them with ardent New Dealers such as Hugo Black, Stanley Reed, Felix Frankfurter, and William O. Douglas. The newly constituted court proceeded between 1937 and 1941 to overturn its anti-New Deal rulings, abandoning its traditional, narrow view of interstate commerce and giving the federal government carte blanche to spend, tax, and regulate virtually without limit.

After World War II, the government enacted the Employment Act of 1946, codifying the government's declared responsibility for managing the economy "to promote maximum employment, production, and purchasing power," and it has actively intervened ever since, purportedly to attain these declared ends. Its shots have often misfired, however, and we have endured booms and busts, a decade of stagflation, bouts of rapid inflation, and stock-market crashes. The present recession may become the worst since the passage of the Employment Act.

Federal intervention rests on the presumption that officials know how to manage the economy and will use this knowledge effectively. This presumption always had a shaky foundation, and we have recently witnessed even more compelling evidence that the government simply does not know what it's doing. The big bailout bill enacted last October; the Federal Reserve's massive, frantic lending for many different purposes; and now the huge stimulus package all look like wild flailing – doing something mainly for the sake of being seen to be doing something – and, of course, enriching politically connected interests in the process.

Our greatest need at present is for the government to go in the opposite direction, to do much less, rather than much more. As recently as the major recession of 1920-21, the government took a hands-off position, and the downturn, though sharp, quickly reversed itself into full recovery. In contrast, Hoover responded to the downturn of 1929 by raising tariffs, propping up wage rates, bailing out farmers, banks, and other businesses, and financing state relief efforts. Roosevelt moved even more vigorously in the same activist direction, and the outcome was a protracted period of depression (and wartime privation) from which complete recovery did not come until 1946.

The US government has shown repeatedly that as an economic manager it is not to be trusted. What we need most are authorities wise enough to follow the dictum, "First, do no harm." The stimulus package will do enormous harm. The huge debt burden it entails, by itself, ought to condemn the measure. America is already drowning in debt. But the measure will also wreak harm in countless other directions by effectively reallocating resources on a grand scale according to political priorities, rather than according to individual preferences and economic rationality. As our history shows, the economy can recover strongly on its own, if only the politicians will stay out of the way.

Duh! Iran is behind Gaza-Israel Conflict

Oil-rich Iran is behind the Hamas-Gaza Conflict! "However it does not claim responsibility. It is pulling strings” by funneling hundreds of millions of dollars including weapons and rockets ”and leading the axis of evil by means of two missile bases in Gaza and Lebanon," declared Minister of Transportation, Shaul Mofaz.

The recent rockets fired into Israel are a direct result of Iranian pressure upon the terrorist organization, Hamas to divert attention from the impending attack Israel had planned on Iran. These terrorists and radicals are joining forces through their similar ideology that insists that infidels must be killed or subjugated to second-class citizens.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad considers Zionists “the most detested people in all humanity” and believes that the Holocaust was nothing but “a myth.” Yep, that makes sense. In 2006, claims were brought forth that Iran was forcing all non-Muslims to wear patches declaring their religion. Although unsubstantiated at the time, we do know that Iran passed a national uniform law that designated specific colors for all Jews and Christians. In addition, all business transactions must be accompanied by a declaration of one’s faith, either verbally or by a sign on their building’s window. As for the patch’s validity- consider the recent law passed December 31, 2008 by Hamas declaring that CRUCIFIXION is great for anyone acting "against Palestinian interest or who negotiate with anyone outside Hamas!"

Ahmadinejad’s beliefs and his distrust of European governments has encouraged his friendship with other Iranian leaders and regimes, including strengthening his relations with Russia, Syria, Venezuela and the Persian Gulf states.

Ahmadinejad has called Israel a “fake regime" that "must be wiped off the map,” and continues to support Hamas and Hezbollah until they destroy Israel and can celebrate "the big victory feast which is the collapse of the Zionist (Isreal) regime." The fact that Hamas follows Sunni-Islam which are Islamic Brotherhood groups founded in the 1930s has yet to deter Ahmadinejad and Iran’s allegiance.

Around the world, news organizations, including numerous articles and faked video (created by Hamas) featured on CNN are noting the numerous civilian casualties and health care facilities damaged supposedly by Isreali forces. Of course, they are neglecting the terrible fact that Hamas has been hiding in maternity wards and hospitals dressed in doctor’s robes and using the hospitals to store their guns and weapons. Recent accounts have found Hamas hiding within 800,000 civilians, using them as human shields. Not to mention that Hamas has been killing Israeli civilians for over 8 years.

Hamas’ concern for their women and children is considerably scrawny as they carry on using their civilians as bait, thus vilifying Israel as the horrible enemy.

When the cease-fire occurred two weeks ago, Palestinian again went back on their word by continuing sporadic shelling, which Israel retaliated against.

Hamas leaders, including chief Khaled Mashaal and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad considered the cease-fire a victory for Hamas! "God made us victorious in Gaza, and we, the Hamas movement, came to say thank you to Iran, which stood with us," Mashaal said a few days ago. "Thank you for all the financial, political and popular support which you have given to us. The Palestinian people will not forget." Cheers in the street were overwhelming as they chanted, “Hail to the soldier of holy war!”

America’s formal response has been “neutral” as President Obama has remained resoundingly silent during the entire conflict. Why? Obama is stuck between a rock and a hard place from his past election where he garnered much support from his muslim-arab-terrorist friends around the world and those back in Chicago. The other problem is the support he gained from many American Jews. Don't forget that Obama is still trying to protect his image and has a campaign to run for the next term! Consider the legal way his own team is trying to get rid of Beanie Baby dolls named after his children because they might tarnish his image. Not to mention- his community organizing days involved funneling money to anti-semantic organizations that also believed Israel is a catastrophe and should be eliminated!

Meanwhile, (and shockingly!) Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently commented that Hamas must cease their attacks upon Israel. “It is very difficult to ask any nation to do anything other than defend itself in the wake of that kind of consistent attack.” The Free Press reported that “Israeli warplanes bombed the Gaza-Egypt border Tuesday, aiming for tunnels used by Hamas to smuggle in weapons and supplies in strikes launched after a Palestinian rocket hit Ashkelon, a city in southern Israel. No injuries were reported.” Why is this a shock? Well, during her husband's administration, Bill offered apologies to Hamas!

But despite the current President's neutral view, former President Jimmy Carter has gained some airtime by stating that “Israel was” responsible for this conflict! Not to mention his later comments to Today’s Show host Meredith Vieira, “Yes, I do. I think [Hamas] can [be trusted]…they've never betrayed any commitment that they've made to me.” What do YOU matter to them? You are an infidel!

As the cease-fire stands (for now) America must formalize our commitment and relations with our anti-terrorist Israeli friends and forcefully condemn those that seek harm on them and the thousands of civilians that are being used as political-human shields whether in Gaza or her at home.

Once again, Hamas has done a wonderful job in distorting history and corrupting media’s involvement in presenting a deceptive front, thus garnering sympathies for the wrong side. Lets not forget Obama only knows how to spend money, and as we saw through Gitmo- security from terrorists is a much lower priority than pissing them off.

UPDATE 2/8/2009: Apparently Obama HAS spoken! He has sent 20 million dollars to the Gaza Strip... Intended for emergency food and medical assistance. May I remind you Obama that Hamas is living IN those hospitals! Obama wants a cease-fire but the money will for sure be funneled back to Hamas! They have already taken by force numerous blankets and other medical equipment that the civilians have been given. Now our 20 million is going to aid terrorists!!! Unbelievable. Not to mention- where is this money coming from? What about the stimulus package? Our national debt? WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?

(IsraelNN.com) Mujahideen Muslim terrorists may be behind the sinking American dollar as part of a campaign to cripple the American economy, the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) reported. The media watch group, which specializes in tracking Arabic language websites, said that postings on websites the past two years reflect a move toward waging an economic war against the United States.

Mujahideen terrorist groups that operate in Afghanistan, Pakistan and other countries "have come to the conclusion that it is financial, rather than military, losses that will prompt the U.S. to change its policies in the Middle Eastand elsewhere," according to MEMRI.

An article recently posted in Sada Al-Jihad (Echo of Jihad) magazine and posted on several Muslim websites, discusses the September 11, 2001 attacks on the U.S. as having influenced the decline in the dollar. It also cited the cost of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan as draining the American economy.

Another recent posting stated, "The dollar can expect two additional blows that will break its back... [namely] the announcement of the return of the [religious rule of the] Caliphate..." and the reinstatement of the gold standard in international monetary trade. It urged Mujahideen "to get rid of American dollars" before an "imminent" terrorist attack that "will put an end to the so-called United States of America and destroy its economy completely."

MEMRI concluded, "Given that it is highly atypical for Al-Qaeda to give prior warning of its attacks, the message is probably an attempt to pressure Muslims to sell dollars, in order to generate pessimism in the dollar market and thus accelerate the drop in its value."

My husband's godfather recently penned this wonderful lil diatribe and I thought I would share it with you...

Isn't it nice to know that our newly elected President associates with communists, socialists and black militants. In his short tenure as President, Obama spent $170 million dollars on his inauguration with the country at war and thousands of Americans loosing jobs and homes.

To make matters worse, some of the financing for the inauguration came from bailed-out Wall Street Executives. He is a proven commodity of the Chicago political machine. Obama continues his escapade by lifting the nation wide ban on Freedom of Choice Act and supporting infanticide. He has also lifted the ban on funding abortion providers overseas. He openly states that partial-birth abortion is a woman's right and that homosexuality is no less immoral than heterosexuality. Recently, he agreed to shut down Guantanamo releasing known terrorists and has placed limits on the CIA and their ability to monitor terrorist activities.

To date, Obama attends a church lead by Jeremiah Wright, a racist pastor who promotes Black Liberation Theology. Obama has ignored young Jezzy's toast at his inauguration party by not addressing Jezzy's reference to blacks as niggers. He remains silent with regards to Reverend Lowery's black racist inauguration benediction. He refuses to produce documents proving he is a citizen of the United States and has not responded to Philip J. Berg's lawsuit regarding his citizenship.

His closest friends are slumlord Tony Rezko who is in jail, racist pastor Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and wife Bernadine Dohrn who are known domestic terrorists from the 60's and 70's, Rod Blagovich soon to be impeached governor of Illinois, Raila Ordinga African Muslim dictator, Frank Davis a communist who mentored Obama prior to Jeremiah Wright's mentorship, Rashid Khalidi a Muslim Professor from Columbia and founder of AAAN (Arab American Action Network) and is affiliated with ACORN. . .a Chicago based group involved in many illegal activities such as comingling public tax dollars with political projects.
Obama has refused to release his Harvard records, Occidental records and
Columbia records. His Selective Service records are fake as well as his
birth certificate.

So how do I pray for Obama . .God remove him. . . God change him. . .God allow him to ruin our country? Americans are asked to pray for his success and to respect the office of President. At what expense? Will God hear our prayers and bless our nation if the leader of the nation does not value life or truth?

What is my responsibility when my heavenly citizenship clashes with my earthly citizenship? Has America reached a new threshold where Ellis Island immigrants are forgotten in favor of new breed of hyphenated
Americans?

Recession? What Recession?

Jobs have been cut- homes have been lost. Yet government funds are still being extended to US consumers to help pay for the converter box necessary for the upcoming, congressionally mandated analog-digital tv broadcast switch on February 17, 2009- now even further extended to June.

To that end, any household- regardless of their income can request two $40 coupons.

The total cost of this plan, you ask? $ 1.5 billion dollars! Cut from initially 3 million.

If thats not enough- Congress has pre-authorized 11 million MORE vouchers for households. And another $600 million in the stimulus package from President Obama.

Their public message is that this is absolutely splendid for the American home! Personally, I saw at least 30 commercials and government-funded, advisory messages over the past fews months- reminding me to cash in my voucher.

What's not great about getting a basically free converter box? You go home, plug it in. This is so cool! But oh wait- look at the resolution! Then you ask yourself, "Wouldn't that look great on a bigger screen?" And then (here is the important part) you go out and buy a new tv and a fun new tv programming plan with all the great HD channels- which you won't need the converter box for.

The House and Senate, including many Republicans, Democrats and of course Barack- all believe that this will generate a lot of income/taxes for the government. Good right? Well-unfortunately they are digging into the fed's already empty pocketbooks! So, they can spend 1.5 billion dollars on TV converters! Not on food and definitely not on housing loans-which the banks don't care about either, by the way. (Thank you bail-out plan.)

Why are they mandating this? Who benefits from this?

We do know that TV manufactures, programmers and retail stores are making bank on this transition. Not to mention companies, such as Verizon and At&t whom already have spent 16 billion on guaranteeing access to the soon-to-be-vacated public airways.

Isn't it just so fab that the same company that runs the DMV, runs this? I mean- if people don't have their $40 dollar box, how in the world are they going to pay for their $60 tv plan so they don't miss Tyra Banks playing the fool again?

Since we have known about the switch (really since 2001) why couldn't the "poor" save less than 1 buck a month to

buy their own box? What in the world would happen if the poor couldn't watch the tube? Possibly go to the movies? Read a book?

Overall- this is strange to me. Why in the world is the government making it their business that your home watches television? I mean I had heard of a bully pulpit- but who ever thought that the government would deem it necessary that you see all of their propaganda on HD?

The Nazis may have been evil, tyrannical and murderous- but even they were more honest than our current government in how they referred to the propaganda wing. ...Here we call it the FCC.

Where is my free newspaper subscription? Free internet? Free data service on my iPhone? What is so important to the government that the public be forced to pay for this service through our taxes?

Something bigger is happening here. I am afraid that this mandate is yet another federal foot through the door in our private lives.

On June 12th, 2008 the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that suspected terrorists that have been held as Guantanamo Bay detainees have the right to challenge their detention in federal court.

Senator Lindsey Graham (Republican- S.Carolina) has strongly opposed the ruling, stating “The American people are going to wake up tomorrow and be shocked to hear that a member of Al Qaeda has the same constitutional rights as an American citizen.” "[Even] the Nazis never has that right."

Flash forward a few months to President Barack Obama's first day in office, January 21, 2009 where he signed three executive orders to:

ban the use of torture
close Guantanamo Bay within one year
review detention policies for terrorist suspects- and review existing inmates

What does this mean for the American people?

"Transferring detainees from Guantanamo Bay to U.S. soil will endanger American lives," Sen. Jim DeMint said. Even New York City mayor, Rudy Guiliani joined the debate on Hannity saying, "People that we have released from Guantanamo have gotten involved in terrorist activities again and killed people, innocent people, Americans."

Conservative talk show host, Rush Limbaugh has similarly argued that this "polictical" move has been made at the expense of America's national security. "They're going to have to be held accountable in any future attacks as a result of this."

Why is it that they fear future attacks when we haven't seen one on American soil since 9/11?

Well- There have been over 61 inmates released from Guantanamo that have gone back to terrorism and killing innocent lives of Americans and our allies. Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell released this information on January 13, 2009.

This figure is an drastic increase from the 37 in March of 2008. The Pentagon's information has been gathered over the years from photographs, intelligence and forensic evidence such as fingerprints and DNA that tie the inmates to known terrorist activity.

Obviously a lot of information on the detainees at Guantanamo has yet to be released- but human rights activists and lawyers have concluded that only a few of those still held are actual terrorists.

But who wants to be the one responsible for releasing the next Osama bin Laden?

House Majority Leader John Boehner, (Republican-Ohio), has expressed his concerns as well.

"I think the first thing we have to remember is that we're talking about terrorists here,” Boehner said January 15. “Do we bring them into our borders? Do we release them back into the battlefield, like some 61 detainees that have been released we know are back on the battlefield? And do we release them to get back and rejoin this fight?”

He added, “The big concern is, how do you come up with a policy to say, ‘We're going to close Guantanamo,’ without having a policy in place for what you're going to do with those that are there?”

In addition, House Minority Whip Eric Cantor, (Republican-Virginia) said, “Actively moving terrorists inside our borders weakens our security, raises far more questions than it answers and is the wrong track for our nation. Most families neither want nor need hundreds of terrorists seeking to kill Americans in their communities. We need to have a serious, careful, and realistic national discussion about the ramifications of closing Guantanamo Bay.”

It is correct that an active approach must be taken to examine the detainees' innocence in a timely fashion. But by bringing these detainees to American soil- it provides them American rights. Their grievances should not be opened to the public- there is national security that must be considered and upheld.

Not to mention- why is Obama's first duty as President ensuring the rights of known and suspected terrorists?
