NYC bomb plan thwarted by FBI.

Within days of 9/11 remembrance, seven Al Qaeda members were "detained" for participating in a heavily planned plot to bomb New York City's transportation centers. Organizing the plot was 24 year old Afghan national, Najibullah Zazi, a coffee cart street vendor residing in Queens. Zazi and his cohorts had computers, cellphone and nine identical backpacks found during the arrests.

The FBI was tipped off to Zazi after his frequent visits to Pakistan and his inaccurate finance records. Despite the recorded documents and evidence in the FBI's possession, they hope to convert him into a cooperative witness detailing his bomb making connections in Pakistan.
